1. As a very small business, we hand-pack most shipments, which will go out via the method you choose at checkout (or faster, if shipping cost is equal or lower) within three business days following purchase. See below for exceptions.
3. Upon shipping out your purchase, we will send you notice via the email address provided by the purchaser during checkout.
4. Very occasionally, shipments are lost in the mail. Upon confirming that the mailing address given to us during checkout was correct, we will offer a replacement shipment at no additional charge. If the address was incorrect as entered at checkout, we unfortunately cannot offer a complimentary replacement.
Notes & Exceptions
1. Out-of-stock orders may take longer than three business days to ship.
2. Coats by Vaute Couture (VC) are shipped directly from VC's workshop. As per VC company policy, VC coats will ship within one week of purchase at a flat S&H rate of $25 domestically (United States) and $40 internationally. If you forget to pick the appropriate flat-rate shipping option at checkout for a VC coat, we will email to request the balance via Paypal.
At checkout, choose the USPS Priority International (6-10 business days between shipment and arrival) for most shipments or the $40 flat-rate option if you're ordering a Vaute Couture coat. Please email us to make a custom arrangement. The shipping totals available at checkout are estimates, and in cases where a checkout shipping estimate is lower than the actual cost, we may email to request the balance. We will not charge you prior to finalizing shipping arrangements. Please note that all international shipments may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The Ethical Man cannot be responsible for any additional charges related to customs clearance.
Exchanges & Returns Policy
The driving mission behind The Ethical Man is to help you be and look good. We don't want you to be stuck with an item that doesn't fit well or isn't what you thought you were paying for.
If you wish to return an item, we have a few requirements:
1. The package containing returned item(s) should be postmarked within 30 days from the date of purchase.
2. Returned items should arrive back to us in unused condition, in original packaging.
3. Via our return form or with the return package, you should upload/include a copy of your invoice and the following information:
- whether you would like a refund or an exchange;
- a phone number or email address we can use to contact you with questions, if necessary; and
- any other information needed for us to process your request.
Please note that the buyer is responsible for all subsequent return shipping fees, unless the reason for the return is a mistake on our part (e.g. you didn't receive the item, size, or color that you ordered). Also, refunds do not include tinitial shipping and handling costs.

Sales & Discounts Policy
1. Different sales and discounts cannot be combined.
2. If Google Checkout fails to work for you for some reason, PayPal is our preferred secondary method of transaction. Simply contact us when experiencing checkout problems and, with detailed purchase request in hand, we'll be in touch with a PayPal request.
